Live InSight: Sitah Faya and spock

On December 15th, ETIC_Algarve will host Sitah Faya and spock for a great day that culminates with Live InSight, in which the ETIC_Algarve studio will be transformed into the “stage” of this concert, in a co-production between the students of Sound, Music, Video and Photography.

Born and raised in the border town of Vila Real de Santo António, it was the rhymes and crystalline poetry written in the Algarve that brought Sitah Faya’s voice to the rest of the country.

Currently residing in Lisbon, the rapper has firmly established her place in Portuguese hip hop, with aggressive and pertinent rhymes that are interspersed with a harmonious voice in the choruses, and that strip her of any superficial tendencies and ephemeral successes, so typical of the contemporary music industry.

Sitah Faya is one of the elements of the publisher Contentor Records although his career has been mostly in his own name, as in the mixtape “Cactus”, and in collaborations with other artists.

she occasionally appeared in the publisher’s compilations, such as in “Arquivo”, and released the singles “Nunca Me Viste Tão Diferente”, “Posse Cut” and “Fain”.

More recently, she joined forces with the producer and founder of Contentor Records, spock, with whom he released the album “Assim como vai” in 2021 and more recently the single “Entre Corais e Tubarões” in 2023.
