Pre-premiere of Documentary and Fiction Short Film by the Film and TV Production Class 21|23

With the support of the Algarve Regional Directorate of the IPDJ and the Faro Film Club, ETIC_Algarve is pleased to invite you to attend the pre-premiere of the final projects of the Film and TV Production 21/23 class, on July 14, from 21: 30 pm at the IPDJ Auditorium in Faro.

“Ophelia “and “O Menu Sustentável” (The Sustainable Menu) are the two films made this school year, covering the categories of Short Fiction and documentary, respectively.

The short fiction “Ophelia” is a drama that is influenced by the bocitore, a Romanian cultural element in which women go to wakes to cry and sing the deceased and which has a parallel in Portugal with the mourners. Ophelia, becomes a “bocitore”, after the loss of her son and in the short we can follow her path to overcome her loss.

The documentary ”O menu Sustentável” (The Sustainable Menu) addresses the application of the “Farm to Table” model to local restaurants in Faro, following the journey of a chef, with the help of expert Eelco Schaap, to find the viable solution for local restaurants.
