Throughout the training, you’ll explore how the camera works, understand the principles of digital photography, and apply framing, composition, and lighting techniques. This is the ideal starting point for those who want to learn photography in a practical way and develop a creative eye with a solid technical basis.

The Photographic Machine

- Differences and similarities between the analog and digital system.
- Various types of Sensor; their characteristics, the Full frame and the APS-C and APS-H
- Lenses; Glass and Polycarbonate, Primes and Zooms; Wide, Trans-standard, Tilt and Shift and the number of blades on the lenses;
- The shutter;
- The diaphragm;
- Obturator/diaphragm ratio;
- Focus Modes: One shot AF, AI Servo AF, AI Focus AF, Manual;
- Shooting Programs: AV, TV, P, M, Auto and Creative;
- White Balance;
- Histogram;
- Raw and Jpeg;
- Practical exercises on speeds, depth of field, objectives;
- Photometry; Reflected and incident light;
- Framing notions: Symmetries and Asymmetries, Positive space and negative space, Radial and asymmetric equilibrium, Three-thirds and Golden spiral.

- Natural light and artificial light; quality and quantity, factors that influence this relationship; How to interpret light quality;
- How to control or modify the lighting.

- Room equipped with individual workstations with macOS environment;
- Software: Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Lightrom;
- Video and Photography Studio, with 100m2 and Video and Photography Equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting and light modeling.
