ETIC_Algarve welcomes European partners in the context of a theatre project for seniors.

From November 8 to 10, ETIC_Algarve welcomed its Age on Stage Project partners from Italy, Poland, Scotland, and France for a training session on Inclusive Theater.
Age on Stage is an educational and inclusive project for older adults that aims to transform their lives through memory theater. Coordinated by our partner in France – Passerelles Theatre, this project seeks to address gaps identified in education and the exchange of experiences among seniors. ETIC_Algarve, as a technology partner, is responsible for developing a multilingual online platform to provide courses and content that can minimize the digital exclusion of seniors. In addition, ETIC_Algarve was responsible for organizing the project’s first training session, which was attended by 12 participants, including actors, educational staff, and trainers, who worked on the Age on Stage course content over three days. As part of this initiative, ETIC_Algarve collaborated with ACTA – A Companhia de Teatro do Algarve, which contributed greatly to the success of the training by providing the Lethes Theater, offering not only a guided tour but also a Physical Theater workshop with Miguel Martins Pessoa from JAT – Janela Aberta Teatro which culminated in an invitation for the participants to attend the show “FESTE” by the Familie Floz theater company.
For Virgínia Inácio, head of the Erasmus Department who accompanied the group, “It was an intensive week of work, but very rewarding for everyone involved, who leave these three days with new ideas and new ways of working with their senior groups through sharing experiences and contact with the Portuguese reality, and that was the goal, so we feel that our mission has been accomplished.”
