GameCrit Project: ETIC_Algarve Welcomes European Partners to Enhance Youth Critical Thinking
ETIC_Algarve had the pleasure of hosting its European partners from the GameCrit – Use Digital Games to Boost Students’ Critical Thinking Skills project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at implementing digital games as a pedagogical tool to enhance critical thinking in young people. This innovative project, involving seven European partners, is set to run until 2026 and is currently in its pilot phase across several countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, Lithuania, Turkey, and Poland.
ETIC_Algarve at the Heart of Educational Innovation
As a technological partner in this project, ETIC_Algarve is tasked with creating games that address important and contemporary issues such as Artificial Intelligence, Fake News, Hate Speech, Stereotypes, Inclusion, Migration, Renewable Energy, and Conscious Consumption. The objective of these games is to foster the development of new skills in students and encourage them to reflect on these topics interactively and innovatively. Additionally, ETIC_Algarve is responsible for the creation of the project’s visual identity and the management of its digital platforms.
Meeting in Faro: Discussing the Pilot Phase and Future Steps
The most recent GameCrit meeting took place in Faro, where the European partners were welcomed at the Museu Municipal de Faro by the Head of the Division of Culture, Dr. Bruno Inácio. This meeting provided a great opportunity to discuss the results of the pilot phase, currently being implemented in the participating countries, and to plan the next steps for the future implementation of the games created.
