Global Game Jam returns to ETIC_Algarve in 2025

Global Game Jam is back from January 24-26, 2025!

And as it could not be otherwise that ETIC_Algarve joins this worldwide event to celebrate video games, this event has become an important stage for future Game Developers, helping them to be the first in the video game industry.

What is Global Game Jam?

The Global Game Jam is the world’s largest co-development event for video games, where participants from all over the world have 48 hours to create a game based on a specific theme that will only be revealed at the beginning of the event. Here participants have the opportunity to put into practice all their artistic skills and programming abilities.

Global Game is more than just creating games, it’s a celebration of creativity, collaboration and innovation. The event brings together people with different levels of experience and areas of expertise, such as Programming, Design, Sound&Music, among others…, promoting teamwork and the exchange of ideas.

The main objective of the Global Game Jam is to provide an immersive learning experience, allowing participants to try out new roles, tools and techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment.
In addition, it is an opportunity for aspiring future professionals in the Videogames area, build portfolios, make contacts in the industry and, of course, create something fun and unique.

And later you will receive an email with all the instructions to register for the Global Game Jam platform and the respective ETIC_Algarve event.

The scheduled times will be announced at the official event and will be sent to each participant along with their registration confirmation.
