Design Teacher

Biography

I am proudly from Lisbon born in 1978 and only in 2012 I decided to head south to live closer to the sun and the beach. Passionate about nature and the universe of arts, communication and creativity, I soon realized that these 2 worlds would rule my life. I graduated in Visual Design from IADE in 2001, studied Communication Design at AR.CO until 1998, got training in Webdesign, video post-production and marketing and advertising with Pedro Dionísio in 2008. I am a surf and SUP teacher, as well as an FPS surf judge, and also a volunteer and vice president of an environmental NGO called SCIAENA since 2006. Since I started my professional activity, I have always been able to bring together the various worlds that complete me as a person. I have been a teacher in several outdoor sports / activities and worked in several Design projects / companies. I worked as Creative Director and Senior Designer in the Marketing department of the former Controlinveste group, currently Global Media Group (DN, JN, 24horas, Globalnotícias , TSF, Around the World, Evasions, The Game, etc.) where for 5 years I strengthened my connection to the Editorial world and also to Advertising where I was able to collaborate with the most diverse agencies, such as FCB, Ogilvy, JWT, McCann, among others. More recently, in the last 8 years I worked as an Art Director for some agencies, the last of which NormaJean. Until last year, I was a Design and Communication consultant for the United Nations FAO. Since ETIC_Algarve arrived in Faro, I have had the pleasure of being a teacher in the areas of Design, Advertising, Corporate Image and I am grateful for the opportunity they gave me to be able to transmit a lot of this energy of mine that allows me to be creative.
