The art of painting new worlds
The Game Art Technical Course at ETIC_Algarve is a professional and creative training programme that prepares you to work in the fields of Animation and Video Games, Cinema and other areas of the entertainment industry. With technical teaching and practical training, you will learn how to create characters, objects and scenarios that bring visual universes to life for video games, animations and films.
Throughout this training in Game Art, you will acquire skills in:
- Development of original characters and creatures
- Creation of environments and settings for video games, animations and cinema
- Drawing techniques, digital painting and applied illustration to game art
- Design foundations for visual worldbuilding and narratives
- Aesthetic, cultural and technical knowledge for the entertainment industry.
This technical training prepares you to create competitive portfolios and work in studios or as a freelancer in the GameArt business, with opportunities in the national and international market.
At the end of this Technical Course, you have the opportunity to participate in an ERASMUS+ European mobility project, living an enriching international experience through an internship.
ETIC_Algarve also offers an optional 320-hour extracurricular internship through the JUMP – Professional Integration Support program, for a confident entry into the job market.

Portfolio
Registration Process
- Schedule a personal interview, please contact info@eticalgarve.com or call 289 823 359 / 960 309 550.
- Completion of application form (sent by e-mail after appointment of interview)
- Attend the interview previously scheduled with the Pedagogical Director, in which you must present Portfolio, if you have
- Registration takes place between March and October, until classes begin, and as long as there are places on the courses.
They may be made after the admission conditions have been verified and upon payment of registration and presentation of:
- Curriculum / Biography
- 1 passport-type photograph, in digital format
- Certificate of qualifications
- Documents of the Applicant and the Payment Manager (Identity Card / Citizen Card + Taxpayer Card + Proof of address: electricity, water, telephone bill or driving licence)
- Completion and signing of the registration form and the training contract.
