Qualifies to open Photographic practice in the fields of: Portrait, Nude, Advertisement, Real Estate or Architecture and Photojournalism.

Develop theoretical and practical skills of handling and operating the equipment and of photographic post production.

Raises awareness on the usage of photography as a form of expression, visual and artistic communication.

By concluding this training, you will have the possibility of participating in our European Mobility Project ERASMUS+.

ETIC_Algarve provides the possibility of attending a 320h Internship, for the trainees that fulfill the requirements of JUMP – Support to Professional Integration.

Everyone who wants to acquire a solid base training to start in the photographics activity, or simply for the hobby of photography and to create your own portfolio. Students in areas such as architecture, design, media, or fine arts, where photography appears as a complement to academic training.

HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Introduction to the history of photography and the photographic process
  • The Pioneers. The primitive techniques and it’s evolution 
  • Movement, trends and tendencies
  • Photography in Portugal

PHOTOGRAPHIC TECHNIQUES

  • Components of the photographic camera
  • The shutter and the diaphragm. Relation between shutter /diaphragm. Depth of field 
  • Lenses: types and characteristics
  • The value of ISO
  • Analogue and digital, similarities and differences
  • Measuring light. Histogram
  • Notion of color temperature. White balance

Application Process

The applications take place between the months of March and September, until the beginning of the school year and classes, as long as there are vacancies in the courses. 

These can be done after the verification of the admission conditions, upon the payment of the registration and submitting the following documents: 

  • Curriculum vitae / Biography
  • 1 passport photo (digital or printed)
  • Certificate of habilitations 
  • Documents from the Candidate and the Responsible for the payment (National Identification Card + Taxpayer Identification Number + Proof of Address: water, electricity or telephone bills or driving license) 
  • Completing and Signing the application form and the training contract
